About Me

Hello, I’m Tom.

Welcome to my art gallery.

I’m happy you found me! Here you will find giclee’ prints of my artwork available for purchase. I am also available for commissions, be it a portrait of a human, pet, or perhaps a special art project for which you would like to hire me.

In addition to my artwork, my wife Barb and myself are award-winning singer-songwriters and perform in indoor and outdoor venues and homes both as a duo and with our Roots Rock / Americana band “Fair Webber”. Please click “Music” which has a direct link for visiting our website where you will find our music recordings for sale as well as our music calendar.

Artist Statement

As an artist, my body of work stylistically falls within the broad confines of realism with a special emphasis on the human face and figure. While I most naturally excel in drawing through the use of various black and white media (charcoal, conte’ crayon, pen and ink, pencil), I also enjoy  “painting” through the use of acrylics, watercolor, oils and pastels. I also do digital drawings and paintings on my iPad, and occasionally combine my traditional drawing and painting tools with digital to create another form of mixed media. Under ideal circumstances, the medium or media, as well as the style I will choose for rendering a subject, will be dictated by the emotion and/or idea I wish to capture and communicate in an art piece. Likewise, in order to pictorially convey the experience of my encounter with a particular subject, I will adapt my style and approach as is befitting the moment, sometimes striving for an accurate portrayal of the lines, shapes and light I see, while in other instances I might choose to employ a looser, more expressive approach. You will find in my work the influences of classical realism, impressionism and expressionism, as well as the influence of the work of certain styles of cartooning and caricature, all which find their way into my art.

I hope you enjoy what you find here, and thank you for taking some time to visit!
